About Hospice & Senior Care Finder

Hospice & Senior Care Finder helps families compare nursing homes using official government data. It's made for adult children and spouses choosing a nursing home for a parent or partner, often with little time to decide.

What you'll find here

Each listing brings together what CMS publishes about a nursing home: star ratings, nurse staffing hours, inspection results, and penalties. We put those figures next to state and U.S. averages, so you can see at a glance whether a number is high or low.

The data comes from the CMS Care Compare dataset "Nursing Homes – Provider Information". Our data and methodology page explains what's included and how we calculate the averages.

We're adding states in weekly batches, so not every state is listed yet. Hospice providers will follow, using CMS hospice data.

Independence

We're not affiliated with CMS, Medicare, or any facility we list. Our policy is that facilities can't pay us to change their ratings or their place in the list. On city pages, they're sorted by CMS overall rating.

We don't give medical, legal, or financial advice. Use the listings to narrow down your options, then check the details with the facility and on Medicare.gov, and visit in person.
